Alicia Lai is currently a junior in high school. Named a NCTE Promising Young Writer, she was the recipient of Acclivity Journal’s 2011 Laurel Award and first-place winner of the 2012 Penn State International Writing Contest. Her work has appeared in Adroit Journal, Ambigram, Acclivity Journal, Town and Gown, as well as in BRICKrhetoric. Recently, she has given writing workshops and also attended the Iowa Young Writer’s Studio.
